“Loved the experience. A lot of the history of Malta in there. Everything very well displayed, ll explained with all the information. Gives you the reality of those times, how people where treated if they've done something wrong, most of the times doing something wrong, was being against the people that ruled in those days.”

“I'm a rather morbid individual so this place was extremely fascinating to me. I have read about medieval torture methods but to see them up close with life size mannequins was absolutely awesome. For the entry price of €6 per adult it's a bargain. If you're a bit warped or love history in all it's gory details then you'll absolutely love this little gem.”

“I enjoy visiting anything underground but this was amusing, informative and there's even a snack machine and toilets! The experience is located beneath the Magisterial Vilhena Palace just inside the main entrance gate to Mdina. Make sure you'll get a free copy of the 'Mdina Dungeons Chronicles' :)“

I haven't seen anything like this before! I would recommend coming here and spending an hour. I also would recommend reading the descriptions inside the museum as it provides an explanation and the insight into the history and invasion Malta had to endure. The cruelty and torture is on display here and there is nothing better to demonstrate it - the format of how it is presented in the museum is very good.

“An experience located in the beautiful Mdina atmosphere. If you are travelling to Mdina I highly suggest visiting this museum. The gloomy atmosphere is perfect considering the purpose of this display and the sounds add even more realism to the representation.”

“Highly recommended. This museum is actually an amusing combination of a haunted house and a museum. Contrary to what the photos of the museum suggest, the figures look lifelike.

Manuel -man behind the desk- was very helpful. We were actually a bit too late to enter the museum but he still let us in and gave us ample time to thoroughly visit the museum. Manuel told some interesting stories regarding the museum on a side note as well.”
